Η Κωνσταντίνα Κάλφα είναι απόφοιτος και διδάκτωρ της Σχολής Αρχιτεκτόνων Μηχανικών ΕΜΠ. Τα πρόσφατα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζουν στη μελέτη της αρχιτεκτονικής στην περίοδο της μεταπολεμικής ανάπτυξης και του εκσυγχρονισμού, με ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον για τις άτυπες στεγαστικές πρακτικές και τους τρόπους με τους οποίους αυτές έχουν διαπλεχθεί σε ευρύτερες πολιτικές ατζέντες και κοινωνικές ζυμώσεις. Στις δημοσιεύσεις της περιλαμβάνονται άρθρα σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά (JSAH, Rethinking Marxism, Architecture and Culture), κεφάλαια σε συλλογικούς τόμους (πιο πρόσφατα:  Architecture in Development, Routledge, 2022) και το βιβλίο Αυτοστέγαση Τώρα! Η Αθέατη Πλευρά της Αμερικανικής Βοήθειας στην Ελλάδα (Futura, 2019). Μαζί με τους Σ.Αλιφραγκή και Π.Τουρνικιώτη επιμελήθηκε το ABE Journal 20 (2022).
